Elizabeth during Perth Heritage Weekend 14 & 15 October 2017, when she attended an exhibit and talk about Mary Raine who, aged 23, migrated to Australia in 1900 with just 100 pounds, and over a lifetime built up considerable wealth in property in Perth. In 1957, through a generous bequest to The University of Western Australia, The Raine Medical Research Foundation was established which now uses funds in excess of $50m to actively support medical research in W.A. 15/10/2017
